With the development of people 's living standards, the further awakening of environment protection, ‘green’ design is becoming the most indispensable part of modern interior design. So what is green design?Green Design in today 's society, many aspects of applicationsare now Green Design has become a kind of fashion, people 's consumption consciousness gradually turns to Green consumption. Green design, also known as eco-design, environmental design, its mean to use the information (technical information, and environmental information, economic information) of the products life cycle or related to the product, also use design theory, make a advanced technical of interior design, and a nice environment and reasonable economic coordination system of the design method. Green design focuses on the ecological balance of the relationship between human and nature, in every decision of the design process are fully considered the environmental benefits and minimize damage to the environment. In terms of design, green design is the core of '3R ', namely, Reduce, Recycle and Reuse, not only to minimize material and energy consumption, reduce emissions of harmful substances, and to make products and components to easily waste separation and recycling or reuse. Green design is not only a technical consideration, more important is the change in a concept, requiring designers to give up too much emphasis unconventional of the product appearance, and will focus on innovation in the true
This manifesto proposes an approach to sustainable design that I am interested in exploring during my time studying architecture. The idea of sustainability is a complex one, not without apparent contradictions. This makes it difficult to define in a wholly satisfactory manner. For the purposes of this manifesto I will advert to the definition proposed by Jason McLennan who asserts that sustainable design: “seeks to maximize the quality of the built environment, while minimizing or eliminating negative impact to the natural environment.” I find this definition particularly useful in the emphasis which it places on quality. By quality, in this
Interior design and architecture are essential, and often overlooked, aspects of everyday life. In modern society people rely on function, durability, and visual appeal when selecting designs for their homes, businesses, and places of leisure. The way that a space is designed influences such things as mood, which, in the case of a business, can impact the productivity of employees and either draw or repel customers. In residential design, the design becomes very personal and, to be considered a successful design, must properly reflect the home owner while at the same time offering some practicality that makes the space livable. An effective design, for any space, must solve some problem, be it function, flexibility, or some other criteria. Simply solving a problem would not please the customer, however, unless it offered some visual appeal. Creating function with style is the real job of any interior designer, and is essential in a content society.
The indefinite growth of the human population, has monumental impacts on the natural environment, not only in the UK, but around the globe. Architecturally, the entire process of designing and constructing a building, both domestic and not, can lead to the rapid exhaustion of natural resources across the planet. Building with environmental design strategies in mind not only combats the impact we as humans have on the natural environment, but also has considerable economic benefits, due to lower running costs of buildings and advanced occupant productivity. There are also many social benefits, such as improved air quality which resultantly leads too enhanced health of a buildings occupants.
According to the author of “Taking the Lead” Felice Silverman, “the introduction of LEED v4 represents the next step in the evolution of sustainable design, but it’s interesting to note that as we learn more about creating green spaces, new concerns continue appear”. The example she gives deals with encouraging people as designers to see products earn third-party certifications, and designers should remember to look at more than just the single-attribute benefits of products. Designers need to be able to arm themselves with the best information on sustainability there is, and continue to review process, systems and products that could potentially cause harm to the environment and the people
"Sustainable Architecture" - this phrase in recent years is mentioned a lot. The concept of "sustainable architecture" is associated, even identified with the concept of green architecture, ecological architecture, environmentally friendly, energy efficient ... to reach a stable value for the environment human life, reduce negative impacts on the environment in the present and future. However, although this interpretation is correct, but only one aspect, because that's what people are missing and need to achieve. Try to reach and understanding of sustainable architecture in general and more simple ...
• Environmental design (C1, Section 3) examines the built environment working in conjunction with natural world. For example, the kitchen and main living space is primarily south facing with a glass wall to take maximum advantage of the available natural light. In addition, the protruding canopy above acts to mitigate excessive levels of solar gain.
Our innovative design is based on understanding needs of NSW resident while exploring the possibilities for innovation by means of technology and creativity. Our ambition is to make the product useful and sustainable while satisfying functionality and aesthetics. The design not only enhances the decorative element but fulfils its purpose. Our design will most importantly contribute to the preservation of environment. Our aim is to concentrate on essential aspects keeping it close to nature and
Green buildings could become one of the main factors to preserve our rapidly decaying environment. There is no easy way to define a green building, but a green building is essentially a structure that amplifies the positives and mitigates the negatives throughout the entire life cycle of the building (Kriss, 2014). There are many definitions for a green building, but all of them include the planning, designing, constructing, and operating of the building while taking into huge considerations of the energy use, water use, indoor air environment, materials used and the effect it has on the site the green building is being built on. The first green buildings dates back to as far as the 1970’s, when solar panels went from experiments to reality. Green buildings were not as popular as they are today due to their extremely high pricing. With technology rapidly growing, solar panels are becoming cheaper and cheaper, making the transition to creating green buildings more affordable. This is the primary reason for the increased growth of green buildings today. A modern company that is paving the way to the growth of green buildings named LEED, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, focuses primarily on new and effective ideas for environmentally friendly buildings projects. With more than 60,000 commercial projects worldwide and 1.7 million square feet being certified every day, LEED is one of the leading groups for promoting green buildings. LEED has popularized the entire
One of the most heavily discussed topics, in this last decade, is the environmental decay of our planet. Diverse concepts have materialized in order to find solutions for the problem. Ecology and sustainable growth have been confirmed to be the main solutions currently. Innovations for sustainable growth include: creation of hybrid cars, recycling and minor discharge of carbon dioxide in factories among others (Christ 23). Environmental awareness was also introduced to the world of fashion, unfortunately, it wasn’t very successful; lately there has been a change of situation and that is what we are going to attempt to understand.

Which eventually discourage designer put in effort to considerate the social aspect during design thinking, the word “social sustainability” were being treated as ideological thought in design until recent years, the attention of social consideration in several industry has become mainstream.
As people known, to use renewable resource and to save energy or comfortable indoor environment is far from the overall picture. Because construction mentioned above is an industry which include many aspects such as land use and application of advanced technology, etc. Therefore if we want to define what is green building we should recognize the whole industrial chain included each aspects and unintended environment, social, economic, consequence brought possibly of complex activity. Kats (2003) in his article stated that the sustainable or green building should deal with those key points: environment, resource & energy consumption, impact on people, financial impact and the world at large which is a broader set of issues such as ground water recharge or global warming, as well governmental policies are typically concerned about (Kats, 2003, P. 1). And another institute, Office of the federal Environmental Executive (2003) defined green building as the practice of increasing the efficiency with which
Green architecture or Sustainable building is the practice of building homes which are environment friendly and resource efficient throughout its life time. It is a way of reacting to the global economic crisis, environmental issues, growing human population, destruction of natural resources and the loss of biodiversity.
“North American homes, offices and other buildings contribute an estimated 2.2 billion tons of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere every year—more than one third of the continent 's greenhouse gas pollution output” (Biello). Global warming is a worldwide issue that is thought to be one of the most severe problems around the globe. Pollution in the atmosphere is one of the main causes of global warming. This pollution starts to build up and destroy the ozone layer causing an increase in the overall temperature of the Earth’s atmosphere (Lee). There are simple methods that can be followed to help decrease global warming. Green building is a building process that is used to make buildings more environmental-friendly. This process is used throughout the whole building life cycle, which includes everything from making the design of the building up to the demolition of the building. Cooperation of all the people involved in the building process is very important throughout each stage in the project. This process can lead to a much better and easier way to help the global warming issue throughout the world. Many people may oppose to green building because of the higher cost for new equipment and materials that are environmental-friendly (Rajendran).
Nowadays, a successful product needs to consider various factors. Novelty products enrich people’s environment and lifestyle, because the product is designed by organizing a certain purpose, planning assumptions and choosing specific carrier to better express designer’s creative idea with a strong culture value. The product is presented by a variety of elements which are combination of lines, symbols, numbers, colors, etc. Many products contain three elements which are typically quality, function and appearance. And it is significant to consider them well to produce a high quality, exquisite and strong visual product. These elements fully determine the layout of the entire production system. The importance of them is that good product design with using these elements, not only in the functional superiority and ease of manufacturing, low production costs, but also the overall competitiveness of the product is enhanced. Many dominant enterprises in market competition have great attention to design elements, in order to design a low cost but with unique functionality. Many companies in developed countries regard design as a popular strategic tool. Good design elements are the key to win customers interests. This essay will focus its emphasizes on the quality, function and appearance in the design and manufacturing by using a specific technological product, and it will also describe how to balance these elements when they are in the process of designing a product.
