Ethical principles
Protection from harm- In any health care setting it is always important to make sure that all the individuals in all the aspects of the area are being protected from harm. In any organization the most important policy is the protection policy this enables the staff to make sure that all the individuals feel safe. Protection from harm does not only mean being protected from abuse It could be protecting people's health and wellbeing and enabling them to live free from harm, neglect and abuse.

Employee's Responsibility: To take reasonable care of themselves in the workplace and to be mindful of the effects of their acts and omissions.

Policies and procedures are what differentiates each workplace. Every workplace should develop and implement policies and procedures which are relevant to the individual workplace incorporating the legislation from the 2 statements. for example, a newspaper shop would have a different set of policies than a care home because there are different tasks being carried out by the staff.

Individuals in the European union countries have among other rights, a right to life, to be free from torture degrading treatment, and discrimination and to have their privacy respected. All researchers must respect these rights. Stem cells are retrieved from embryos that are a few days old, and it is that creates the ethical dilemma in relation to research using this type of tissue.
