____Human Trafficking_____
I. INTRODUCTION
A. (attention grabber): I will have a picture on the big screen and ask to the audience: “what would you say if you are in another country. I am a totally stranger to you, I come up to you and offer you your dream job? The job that you always wanted. Would you accept it? But there is only one condition; you will need to leave your country and everything else that you have to come to America with me as soon as possible. Would you still accept the job?
B. (thematic statement): Today I will be talking about human trafficking and how this horrible thing started.
C. (establish significance): Human trafficking is a modern

Sex and labor trafficking could happen at the same time with the same person. For example: i. A woman could be trafficked primarily into prostitution (sex trafficking) might also be forced to clean or cook at the same time (labor trafficking). c. Another two types of human trafficking would be: i. Child soldier: which it occurs when a person under the age of 18 is forced to fight in a national army or rebel militia. ii. Organ trafficking: Organ trade is the trade involving human organs for transplantation. There is a worldwide shortage of organs available for transportation, possibly a result of regulations forbidding their trafficking.
[transition /with signposting]: Now that you know how human trafficking began and the types of human trafficking, let’s learn the things that these poor victims have to go through.
C. (main point #3) The things that human trafficking victims have to go through.
a. According to www.soroptimist.org trafficking victims are often passed among multiple traffickers. They are taken away from their home countries unaware of the destination. b. Trafficking victims go through several stages of degradation, physical, and psychological torture, and deprived of sleep and food. c. In order to keep women captive they are told
There are several physical and mental consequences for trafficking victims. Some of those consequences are sleeping and eating disorders, fear and anxiety, depression and mood changes, guilt and shame, and posttraumatic stress
Human trafficking contains three main types of trafficking. Sex trafficking, forced labor, and child labor. Within forced labor, 18.7 million people are subjected. There are also 4.5 million people who are exploited each year for sex. Sex trafficking is committing a sexual act with an individual whom is under the age of eighteen. For example, a victim being held captive and forced into prostitution. Forced labor is when an individual is forced to do a service against their will by intimidation, violence, or in order to pay off debt. For instance, a family gives up a child and is sold to a sweatshop owner who forces him to sew garments. Children under the age of eighteen are used in the armed forced, used as cooks, messenger, spies, or sexual purpose (Background). For example, a fifteen-year-old boy or girl runs away and is seduced by a pimp. The pimp coerces him into participating in prostitution and the pimp would control the cost of how much the boy or girl would receive. Around the world, there are 168 million child laborers; 85 million are in hazardous conditions. Other forms of human trafficking include domestic servitude, agricultural work, debt bondage, manufacturing, and prostitution (Human Rights Commission). An example of debt bondage is if a possible victim needs to pay off her debt, she is brought to a house and the to be a housekeeper to pay of the cost and is threatened that if she does not she will be killed. Victims are mostly female
As Monzini points out, prostitution is one of the services that can be trafficked. Prostitutes have more freedom and autonomy than women who are victims of sex trafficking (Monzini, 2005, p. 2). In fact, sex trafficking can be seen as a form of slavery.
B. To identify an issue is one thing; but when it comes to actually getting down to the facts and statics that’s when it really hits home and makes you think. The United States is a main receiver of trafficked persons. It is estimated that 15,000 to 50,000 of globally trafficked victims arrive in the United States each year (L. Jones, 2007). Between 2001 and 2005, the United States effectively convicted 138 human traffickers (L. Jones, 2007). An astounding 80% of the victims are women and over 50% are children. Even manual labor trafficking, frequently considered a male dominated dilemma, is now considered to be dominated by women worldwide (Human Trafficking Awareness Partnership, 2010). In the US, 32% of all labor trafficking victims are women (Human Trafficking
Human Trafficking and Slavery universally happens in the world when individuals are placed or maintained in and exploitive situation for economic gain. Women, men and children are trafficked for a range of different purposes; forced and exploitative labour in factories, farms and private households, sexual exploitation, and forced marriage. Trafficking can happen to all people if the circumstances are right.
“43% of victims are used for forced commercial sexual exploitation, of whom 98% are women and girls” (UNGIFT). Women and girls are ensnared in sex trafficking in a variety of ways. Some are lured in with offers of real and legal work in restaurants, massage parlors, or anything else. Others are promised marriage, education and a better life. Still others are sold into trafficking by boyfriends, friends, neighbors or even parents (SOROPTMIST). Many of the girls and women are also forced into pornography. With all of the types of sexual exploitation comes abuse. Sexual, physical, and emotional are all types of abuse put onto females in human trafficking. Many people traffic others in hopes of getting money, work done, or just pure pleasure.
B. Relation: Human trafficking is simply a “modern day slave trade”. It transports and sells victims across borders, but also trafficking is the crime of carrying someone into slavery by force or fraud. “The victims of human
This research is exploratory because the researchers attempt to point out social trends that play a role in becoming a human trafficking victim. It goes beyond the mere description of human trafficking its causes and effects, the information that the researcher provide might be able to prevent the crime. Or at very least, educate potential victims. This is pure research because the researchers want to expand the body of knowledge of human trafficking. There has been substantial research in regards to victims of human trafficking, this particular study lists a few previous research components.
Human trafficking does not mean only exploitation of people for sexual purposes, although that's part of it. The vast majority of human trafficking, though, involves people being forced into agricultural labor, domestic labor, factory work, and other kinds of slavery -- not sexual slavery.
While we look at human trafficking as just one thing, there are various types of this crime. One, is sex trafficking. When you hear of
Not all human trafficking is about sexual-exploitation. Some are being sold just to be slaves or to even to be killed for enjoyment.
Human trafficking takes two forms, sex trafficking and labor trafficking. Not one is worse than the other, and sometimes victims may be forced into both. While the two
A. People who are trafficked for sex feel completely helpless, and the horror they have to go through is not fully acknowledge.
Imagine for a moment you are a normal man or woman. You have lots of friends, a spouse who you love, maybe children and pets too. You have a new co-worker at your job. This person has invited you to come to a party in the less safe part of town, but you accept anyways because you want to become friends with this person. The next thing you remember is waking up in a strange place, surrounded by strange people, they tell you you are to do everything they say or your family and friends will die. You will now be forced to perform sex acts, or forced to work for little to no money, and you won't be allowed to see your family ever again, with no way out unless someone from one of many organizations rescues you. People who are trafficked are used in many ways and for many reasons. Human trafficking victims can go to one of the many organizations for help.
Sex Trafficking is a sub category of human trafficking. All people can be considered potential victims of human trafficking however, people from other countries, run away teens, low-income women, and children of both genders are placed at a higher risk for sex trafficking. According to Zhang,
