I am excited to be one of the candidates for the 2017-2018 National Junior Honor Society. I understand that the National Junior Honor Society is for students who demonstrate exemplary scholarship, citizenship, service, leadership, and character. I believe that I have maintained a grade point average of 3.55 or higher and have shown all of the five given standards of the National Junior Honor Society. I believe that my involvement with the National Junior Honor Society will help me to prepare my future as a leader, character role model, and good citizen.

I am deeply honored to be recognized as an eligible candidate for the National Honors Society. After learning about the National Honor Society, and what the organization represented, I knew it was something I wanted to participate in. This organization works hard to better educational opportunities for students across the nation, and that is something I would like to play a part in to further the outstanding reputation of the NHS. I believe that this is an opportunity I deserve due to my recognizable hard work. I am aware that the NHS is known for recognizing students with outstanding grades and commendable characteristics, which is something I believe I have obtained throughout my years of hard work.

I believe i should be in National Junior honor society because i work hard to keep my grades up, I take responsibility for my actions, I join in on school events like the dances and make sure i'm polite to my peers. I show leadership when the teacher leaves the room and i decide not to mess around, listening to the teacher in class and showing up to school with a positive attitude. When i show up to school with a positive attitude i smile say good morning and i’m ready to learn.

It is a honor to be invited to join the National Junior Honors Society. I believe I have the qualities to be excepted. I am a leader, have good character, participate in my community through service, and a good citizen. Therefore, I should be accepted into the NJHS.

My goal in attending a United States Service Academy and becoming an officer in the military is to provide myself ample opportunities to reach my established life goals. I plan to pursue a career in aerospace engineering, and developing that career through one of the academies will help me to achieve the dreams I had as a child. I would be a good representative for the National Junior Honor Society. I believe this because of two things. The first reason is that I get exceptional grades. I try my best to maintain my average over 95. I do not fret when I get a bad grade. Instead I think of it as an opportunity to try even more on the next test or quiz and a chance to learn from my mistakes. The other reason is because I enjoy helping others. I like to help my fellow classmates with their homework if they do not understand it.

Since a young age, I have had a desire to strive towards academic success. Because of that, I have obtained a 3.88 grade point average through my five semesters of high school. I have earned a Varsity Letter in Academics, and I have been awarded certificates for Excellence in Spanish One and Spanish Two. I am currently taking a college level math class. Accounting Two was not offered this year.

It would be a great privilege it be inducted into the National Honors Society, and I am thrilled to be considered for such an honor. I believe that I would be an asset to National Honors Society due to the many characteristics I portray daily. Growing up I’ve always been taught to be honest, diligent and dedicated to every aspects of my life; whether it be academics, extracurricular activities, or hobbies. I am a natural leader, yet I am very open to collaboration. I stay prompt and organized in all of my pursuits. I strive to be the trustworthy person whom others aspire to be.

I have been working for the past two and half years of high school to keep my grades up and being an applicant means I have done well. Due to having three younger siblings I have always had responsibility for those more vulnerable than myself, which has given me firsthand experience of looking after others, the main basis of nursing. I am particularly interested in adult care within hospital, and the impact which immediate help can have on the patients. A recent inspiration which resounded with me was Dianne Brown, Nursing Director at Liverpool Women's who on hearing of the significantly long waiting times for patients in a separate department, organised for over 50 of them to be fed.
