The everglades is a place where nature is free in it’s paradise, besides the fact that there are hundreds of issues. The Everglades is home to many types of wildlife, and also provides for humans. The water supply has dramatically affected everyone, and everything, not all of it good. Water issues have affected the Everglades, and Florida by decreasing wildlife, droughts, and money issues.

United States has a lot of astounding natural attractions. But some of them are losing their rare beauty. Those attractions that are losing their beauty are in great need of help. Some natural attractions in the United States that are in the greatest need of conserving are the Everglades, Chesapeake Bay, Chihuahuan Desert, and the Northern Great Plains. The main reason why these places are in danger are because of humans.

The Everglades is a subtropical wilderness with hardwood hammocks, mangrove forests, along with grass marshes. The Florida Everglades used to be a home for many endangered species, that was until the sudden changes in the environment. The Everglades are facing water-related issues, such as its problems with the water supply. There are issues facing recent attempts to improve the water supply, and some history on the Everglades.

People may think that the Everglades is a nasty horrible place and it can be, but that doesn't mean we should destroy it. The Everglades is home to many different species and not all of them are welcome. Like pythons and anacondas which both were animals that people thought would be great pets but once they grew to big released them into the wild. And the Everglades isn't the only wetlands out there. There is a group of wetlands in Louisiana that has only 40 percent of the U.S. total wetland area and the reason for this is it is at the part where the Mississippi river meets the Gulf of Mexico, said in article 2 "Wetlands and Habitat Loss"

The Everglades was once a lush, green wilderness home to many endangered species. Now it is a drained swampland with half of its wildlife wiped out. One change made a big impact on this wetland. Many people are working hard to save the Everglades before it’s too late.

The Everglades is a vast region that stretches from the Kissimmee River to Lake Okeechobee and is filled with a unique and world-famous ecosystem that is exclusive to the rest of the world. It is located in southern Florida and takes up 1.5 million of the land. While there are many diverse species, there are around 500 human inhabitants. This region is one of the largest wetlands in the US and the only existing Everglades in the entire world. Because of this and other pressing factors, about one-fifth of the Everglades are protected by the Everglades National Park. The fact that the Everglades are one of kind also means that anything that happens not only affects itself locally, but also nationally and globally. And now, there are many problems

The Everglades is located in the southern part of Florida. It is one of the largest subtropical wetlands in all of North America. The area only experiences two seasons: wet and dry. The wet season lasts from May to October and the dry season lasts from November to April. The Native Americans called it Pa-hay-okee, which means grassy river, and today it is often referred to as “the river of grass,” which was coined by author Marjory Stoneman Douglas. The Everglades has many habitats such as a river, mangroves, lakes and sawgrass. It is home to many different species of plants, animals and insects because of this. The Everglades flows from the Kissimmee River down to the Florida Bay. The river is about 60 miles wide and over 100 miles

This problem has event caught the attention of the government and the senators of Florida. Since 1994, organizations, acts, and the awareness has developed. One of the first acts, passed in 1994, was called the Everglades Forever Act. It was created to decrease the phosphorous levels in the water of the Everglades after it was found mainly in farm areas. From then on, projects like the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan, also known as the CERP, have began to appear. It states in the text passage “Water Quality Nearly Halts Everglades Restoration”, “But many were unhappy with the red tape and slow pace of the CERP.” AS a result, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers decided to make another way to help the Everglades flourish once more; the Central Everglades Planning Project. This project was also to improve the quality of the water, but also fill the canals and installing filters. America has spent lots of money trying to restore the Everglades; however, they hope to bring the Everglades back to its original, healthy

I researched the Everglades in Florida. There have been many negative changes in this habitat both from humans and other species. The region’s water resources are being depleted by invasions of exotic plants such as the Australian Melaluca. The Australian Melaluca also affected the native species of which the rest of the ecosystem depends. Another effect on the water is the runoff from agricultural operations, which gets into the water and pollutes it. Development pressures from agriculture, industry, and urban areas have destroyed more than half of the original Everglades

Many people who live in Florida know about the Everglades and the problems that it is facing. People and authorities have been fighting for clean, plentiful water in the Everglades; humans and thousands of animal species depend on it. Water supply is agreeably the main problem for the Everglades, and it can affect it in many ways, such as killing off animal species, providing a lack of clean drinking water, and ruining the size and beauty of the park.

Growing up I was fortunate to live five miles from the main entrance to the largest subtropical, sawgrass prairie in North America, Everglades National Park. For years, the Everglades revealed its natural treasures as my family and I enjoyed hours of canoeing, hiking, fishing, and bird watching within the park. I had the privilege to attend an elementary school that established a partnership with the Everglades Environmental Center. In fact, in 4th grade I was one of twenty-five students selected to go camping five nights at the Loop Road Interpretive Center, forty miles deep in the glades. My camping experience provided an invaluable lesson about always being honest and the importance of obeying the national park regulations.

Did you know that some of the activities you can do there are boating and feeding animals that live in the Everglades. Another activity is keeping the Everglades clean so that no animals will die.
