Pros And Cons Of Pro Life

Decent Essays

Abortion: the controversy-packed topic that can provoke the most vicious altercations between the two opposing sides. The views of abortion divide into two main categories: pro-choice and pro-life. These groups can go at eachother’s throats with no end, constantly throwing new arguments at each other. Many people feel very strongly one way on the topic, and are some individuals too stubborn to consider anything other opinion. The two opposite views seem to boil down to many as either the undeveloped fetus is innocent or the mother has the right to chose what to do with her own body. The advanced technology today makes it possible to fetus’s potential conditions when it is born. Not everything is perfect and sometimes we find out that a baby …show more content…

The pro-life reasons must also be addressed, but with respect to what they believe in. Those uneducated on the topic of abortion might think of the choice as this: kill babies or not kill babies. And then they chose pro-life because it “must be the most humane” without really considering both sides. Being pro-choice isn't about wanting to avoid births and killing fetuses; it’s about women being able to choose what’s best for them and decide freely what to do with their own body. We need to consider the ethics of the problem presented to us. The pro-life’s oh-so common solution to not aborting a child is just to put him or her up for adoption. This is drastically impractical in the society we live in today. Nobody should try to deny that our world is quickly approaching its limit of people it can sustain with our current technology. Even orphan homes can’t keep up with the increase of homeless children and infants that need care. There are an estimated 17,900,000 children globally that have no parents and live in orphanages or must live on the streets without a permanent home. Children living in those horrible conditions run the risk of disease, malnutrition, and death. And even if a child gets into an orphanage, the living conditions still might be poor. Overcrowding and low budget for orphanages leads to big problems to support the children properly. Studies conducted show …show more content…

But we need to treat that as it is: people taking something optional and forcing it upon others. This happens with many cases but we don’t hold the action at fault. Those inhumane people are the big problem. Abortions have a practical use for those who want them. Some women chose to take that route because it is what they think is best. It is a personal choice and, since it is not outlawed, it is an option open to a woman to use. If abortion centers become illegal some women will still get abortions. But they will be forced to get potentially unsafe and unprofessional operations that could seriously take a detrimental effect on their health. Getting an abortion is taking your own risk with the procedure, but getting one isn’t significantly more potentially dangerous as any other similar operation. But also a point to consider is that giving birth also has risks to the mother and baby. Maternal death is a problem that does happen and the mother has to consider. If the mother is informed that her mortality rates would be too low when giving birth, she might decide not to take the risk and get an abortion. Whatever the reason a woman has to get an abortion; her decision is made and she should be able to get the care she needs. Because if it is not your body, then should you really have an opinion on what happens to
