STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
“The foundation of life and purpose is to find the Why in you.
The Why in you is purpose, knowing Who you are and
Why you are here is the meaning of life.
Sadness and tragedies come to pass, the eternal question of life is Why.
What am I doing here? What does all this mean?
To find yourself is the very reason you’re born.
The wonder and glory of life is the birth of purpose.
There is no one separate from yourself.”
These lines of Jeremy Limn epitomizes my principles of life and has thereby influenced me in exploring the insights of the world around me right from my childhood. The curiosity to reason every little thing that surrounds me and to seek in the best answers for each of their existence has helped me in

Though painstaking at times, the joyous satisfaction that is attained when each of these challenges are met with innovative solutions has no words to explain and has thus been the prime reason for me to take up my undergraduation in Chemical Engineering. Throughout my four years of undergraduate study at this institute, I was amazed at the real flamboyance and the sheer versatility of this discipline and this resulted in motivating me to work hard with dedication to secure a place in the top 10% of the Chemical Engineering Department with a CGPA of 8.53/10. The demanding undergraduate program at A.C.Tech, Anna University has helped me to achieve a strong background in core Chemical Engineering areas like Fluid Mechanics, Mass Transfer, Thermodynamics, Chemical Reaction Engineering and Process Calculations and has also made me to understand the utmost significance of simulating various chemical reactions and systems in the field of Chemical Engineering. As days passed by, love for the field has only increased within me, as this Chemical Engineering discipline is one which is ever evolving with new ideas and challenges. Being a person with full of self-belief, research in this field looks like a right path that has motivated me to apply for graduate studies in Chemical Engineering at Texas Tech
I pipetted the last of the product I created in the most recent trial of the experiment onto a small metal plate, placed the delicate square into a case, and hurried downstairs to the mass spectrometer. After carefully loading the plate and anxiously waiting for the graphs to pop up, my fellow lab mates came over in excitement to view the results of this latest run; we compared the graph with the theoretical yields. I sighed of relief once I realized that this trial had finally created the product necessary to proceed in the experiment. Getting one step closer to solving our problem was so rewarding. Very exciting; makes me want to read on
I will build upon the technical writing skills I learned in junior lab to write the assignments in this course. Knowledge from fluids, heat and mass, separations, reactors, and thermodynamics will all be used to design chemical processes. The basic box and arrow diagrams that were first learned in CHE211 will be expanded in this course to develop process flow diagrams. These skills will be used to meet the instructor’s goals of using compositions and flows to determine process equipment size, its corresponding cost, flow diagrams, and how to synthesize the
Being a first generation college graduate, I epitomize the dreams and sacrifices made by my parents. They made it their life ambition to provide me with the best resources within their capacity. In my journey as a Chemical Engineer, I have experienced and appreciated the magnificence of Chemical Engineering - nano-scale to macro-scale, be it working in an R&D facility or professionally working as a Process Engineer in the Refinery.
A multitude of people experience certain events in their life that causes them to pick a field of study. I, too, had a specific experience that encouraged me to interest in engineering. Computer skilled individuals might wish to major in computer engineering; some experience usage with chemicals, therefore they might prefer a major in chemical engineering. The only difference that places me apart from others is that music influenced me to carry out this decision into engineering.
Thus, I will be honored of standing such a prestigious college, and having the privilege of becoming an outstanding Chemical Engineer. What inspires me to pursue a career on this field is how vast and innovative this major is. Honestly speaking, I am a very creative person. One of my many passions include drawing and painting, traditionally and digitally. Thus, the Chemical Engineer field combines two of my personal passions, Chemistry and art. Since, Chemistry also means combining, and studying the interaction between substances through different chemical reactions in order to obtain a different product or substance. From my artistic side, I perceive a laboratory as my canvas, and the different elements as my paint. By becoming a Chemical Engineer, I want to create new products than can potentially enhance people’s
How to keep up with the demands of a growing population, as well as ensure that tomorrow's environment is kept intact, is a challenging and complex concern. This issue is what sparked my interest in Chemical Engineering. Solutions provided by Chemical Engineering will not only benefit today's population but will also help sustain the environment for the future. I want to be a part of solving the complex, challenging and ever-changing problems facing our world.
I left my undergraduate career conflicted about whether to pursue a degree in chemistry or chemical engineering. Through a combination of independent research, advice from mentors, and on-the-job industrial experience, I have realized that my interests align more with chemical engineering. The broad range of career paths and opportunities for technological innovation draws me to the field of engineering. With chemical, physical, and mathematical concepts as well as industrial know-how, engineers transform ideas into useful and attainable products that impact the lives of many.
“Did I win? Did I lose? Those are the wrong questions. The correct question is: Did I make my best effort?” If so, he says, “You may be outscored but you will never lose.”
Learning makes a man fit company for him”. This maxim impressed me right from my childhood days to learn something new each day, learn, learn and relearn until my end. My decision to apply for MS polymer engineering has emerged, both from my passion for research and my aspiration to understand the language of energy generation. I felt polymer engineering footholds the entire world. This makes it one of the most challenging fields of the present generation. It has the power to create novel designs in the field. I keenly wish to contribute more towards the polymer engineering to this field by acquiring the practical knowledge and experience that will enable me to create cutting-edge methods for the development of management in the commercial and industrial sectors. I believe the MS program from your esteemed university is of paramount importance to strengthen me as a person and a professional.
In this letter of intent, I am going to focus on the purpose of studying Industrial Engineering further at the post-graduate level. I have chosen University name because I feel it will best prepare me to fulfill my future career objectives. I jot down my Statement of Purpose with due respect to the Department and the University.
