March 19,2012 Steve Jobs Everyone is unique on this plant. We share the air and shine to live but we all do things in our own ways. Some people don’t do anything with their lives and others do great things with theirs. One particular person that has done great things with his life is Steve Jobs. Steve Jobs wasn’t some original person, he was a creative, crazy, rebellion, and over all a life changing person that wanted to make a difference in the world. Microsoft and Apple were enemies and they were not letting anyone take anything form either of them. Apple and Microsoft agree that they would release Mac versions Microsoft office in exchange of Internet Explorer the default web on the Mac. After a few month, Steve had announced that they were the hardest in the industry in his life. Since Steve Jobs was trying to fix the Apple company, critics started to believe in him and his products. He introduced the iMac that was took over the PC industry and started to produce more and more Apple products. In January 2000, Jobs made software that would be the start to something amazing. Apple started to grow with more programs such as iMovie, iDVD, iTunes, and iPhoto. This was the digital hub strategy idea that Jobs had to better the company. He decided to use Apple’s unique knowledge of making both powerful and attractive machines, but they would also run software. This softwares were launched in the years 1999-2002.In many ways, the juggernaut that Apple became was shaped by very smart decisions that Jobs and his executive team took in et crucial in the 2000-2001 timeframe. In 2000, Jobs started to realized that digital music file-sharing service such as Napster we starting to become popular. The free enterprise system allowed room for great financial success and greatly appealed to consumer demand needs or wants. Having good leadership methods in place at an organization is vital in bringing success to a company. Steve Jobs is highly stimulated and has a strong idea of what he wants for Apple to achieve in upcoming periods. He is a transformational leader, and this, “ represents the most popular current view of leadership. This leader is characterised by a capacity to create a highly motivating and absorbing vision of the future, and has the capability to energise others to pursue the vision. “ ( Claremont McKenna College Journal ). Jobs has put in a huge effort to create a strong framework of control and direction, for example, “ Since returning to Apple, Steve has put as much energy into creating a strong management structure as he has into the products. “ ( www.ft.com ). This is highly effective leadership, trying to improve the design of the organisation in order to achieve more efficiency.

In this ever growing, rapid developing world as we can see today, there are many different successful leaders. As we know it, leaders are humans just like everyone else. How did they manage to stand out from the crowd? What did they do to achieve great success for an organization? As of all the successful leaders in the world, Steve Jobs is one of the successful leaders that managed to achieve great success for an organization. Therefore, Steve Jobs is the leader that I personally admire and would like to emulate.
Steve Jobs acted as an innovative micro-manager, which lead Apple to create a new market for different devices. His devotion, drive, technological skills, attention to detail, and the hiring of capable people to work with helped him invented the iPod, a user friendly mp3 device, and iTunes, a web service to buy music, which brought Apple large profits and continues to do so today. The iPod changed the way we consume music and reshaped the music industry and iTunes helped consumers download, and organize digital audio and video on personal computers. (Rose)
