In the early 1970s two school from Alexandria, Virginia integrate forming T.C Williams High school. Head coach of the Titans was replaced by an African Coach form North Carolina. Tensions arise when the players from the different races are forced together on the same football team. Many of the tensions eased during the two week training camp in Gettysburg. When the players returned to Alexandria finding the city in turmoil due to the forced desegregation of the high school. As the season progresses the team success caused the community to accept the changes. During the film many camera shots, high angle shots was effective because it showed the Titans as a tight, cohesive team. Over the shoulder shot and Long shot this shot helps us see that even more Cleary, the long shot is used because it shows them surrounding the scene as well what is happening with Boone, Gerry and Ray. The over the shoulder shot less u see that at this even the perspective of the white crowd of people and it looks like u are essentially one of them in this shots. The long shot is a good choice when it serve two purposes. It establishes the audience where this scene is taking place (Gettysburg Collage) but is also shows us the physical distance between Ray and Petey, this way we see Petey’s reactions and body language response to ray’s …show more content…

They had fallen into the position because of their athleticism, personal convictions and needing to protect their “brother” Gerry became the team leader by learning to set aside his prejudice also the focus on the team regardless of the colour. The relationship between the Bertier and Campbell lead way for most of team to come together. The movie starts with riot after a white storeowner kills a black teenager, this incident which underscores the racial tensions that exist as a result of the desegregation of the high school. Boone had to overcome the racism within the team coaching staff and the community to build a winning racially mixed football
