The marketing mix consists of the 4 P’s Product, Price, Place and Promotion.

Promotion is about how the customers are informed about a particular product or service and plays a vital role. So promotion basically carries the 3 Ps of the marketing mix by presenting that all important information to the right target market.

However without promoting this customers would not have known and therefore would not visit the park for it, which instead of increasing customers would potentially have lost out on some.
So promotion delivers all the important messages behind the product that Thorpe Park believe will attract the customer and also convince them into coming to the park to experience the ride.

The product I will be looking at for LESOCO is one of their many courses, the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business. PRODUCT
This programme will suit learners who want to gain the skills required to start up their own business or progress towards higher education study in management, human resources, accounting, finance or marketing.
PRICE
The course is free for16-18 year olds, anyone who wishes to take the course that is not within that age bracket will usually have to pay a fee depending on their personal situation for example for someone who receives benefits will be helped to pay or be allowed to pay over a period of …show more content…

The marketing mix has to be promoted by Thorpe Park in order for them to achieve their aims and objectives

Price
In terms of price, Thorpe Park tries to be competitive with other leisure activities that are very popular one of which being football matches. When promoting, Thorpe Park will advertise the prices to people and they have to convince people that they are better off spending money on coming to Thorpe Park then paying the same amount to go and watch a football match which they will only benefit from two hours of entertainment as oppose to Thorpe park where you can get more than double the amount of entertainment. So it is all about value for money and so Thorpe Park will assess this and price their tickets accordingly to attract more customers and convince people that a day at Thorpe Park is much more fulfilling than a two hour period at a football
