When tragedy intervenes in love, who could we blame? Could death or prejudice be responsible for intervention, or even the destruction, of love? In the famous play, “Romeo and Juliet,” two young star-crossed lovers, by the names of Romeo and Juliet, experience various conflicts regarding their forbidden marriage. When they feel what they share is love at first sight, there is one problem: They both belong to opposing families. We may see though, that there may not be one person to blame, but rather the feud between the families itself, with an overall theme of stress on the couple, from Romeo’s banishment, to Friar Lawrence assisting the children, and finally with the inevitable death of the two.
