Charles Joliet (1832–1910)

Joliet, Charles (zhō-lyā’). A French journalist, essayist, and miscellaneous writer; born in St. Hippolyte-on-the-Doubs, Aug. 8, 1832; died in 1910. He contributed to every periodical of note in Paris, producing likewise countless volumes, such as: ‘The Athenians,’ poems; ‘The Ladies’ Doctor,’ a humorous narrative; ‘The Viper,’ a study of woman; ‘The Story of Two Young Wives,’ a novel; and others.
