Josef Jaroslav Kalina (1816–1847)
Kalina, Josef Jaroslav (ka-lē’nä). A Czech poet; born at Hajda, in 1816; died at Prague, 1847. His ballads are his best works. Ten thousand copies of his poem ‘Ksaft’ (Last Will and Testament) were sold. The complete edition of his verse appeared in 1874.
