Walerian Kalinka (1826–1886)

Kalinka, Walerian (ka-lin’kä). A Polish historian, political writer, and journalist; born in 1826; died in 1886. His masterwork, ‘The Great Diet,’ was intended to be a thorough study of the political history of Poland; only the first volume appeared (1880).
