2. Area of a Circle
Computer programs are great at computing mathematical formulas. Once the formula is properly encoded you can use the code as much as you want without reprogramming it and you
can share it with non-programmers without any trouble. This lab is an example of such a formula. Once you program it you won't have to worry about the area of a circle again.

• Write and test a program that computes the area ofa circle. This program should request a number representing a radius as input from the user.
• Use the formula 3.14 x radius to compute the area.
• Tip: There are a couple of ways to code an exponent. Look in the Operators unit for help (and you can't use an x for multiplication).
• Tip: You will need to use the float data type to compute the remainder.
- The output should explain the results. Don't just print a number.
• Tip: For your print statement you will need to use the comma, or plus, +symbols to stitch your output together.
- (The area…

The slot machine then displays a set of random images. If two or more of the images match, the user wins an amount of money that the slot machine dispenses back to the user. Create an application that simulates a slot machine. Figure 8-23 (on page 539 of your book) shows an example of how the form should look. The application should let the user enter into a TextBox the amount of money he or she is inserting into the machine. When the user clicks the Spin button, the application should display three randomly selected symbols. (Slot machines traditionally display fruit symbols. You will find a set of fruit symbols attached to this dropbox for your use - from the Student Sample Programs provided by the book author.) - Python programming language You will be creating an application to calculate the maximum amount of contribution a person can make to a Roth IRA based on their age and income. Over 50 years old and your contribution limit goes up from $6000 to $7000 dollars. However, if the person is married and the combined household income is over $206,000 a year, or a single person with income over $139,000, you are not allowed to contribute. Write an application that asks the user their age and their income. Using this information use a nested if statement to calculate the maximum allowable contribution.arrow_forwardVariables are a kind of data that may be changed.arrow_forward**using C# and Visual Studio design a program to satisfy the below problem** Create an application that generates a random number in the range of 1 through 100 and asks the user to guess what the number is. If the user’s guess is higher than the random number, the program should display “Too high, try again.” If the user’s guess is lower than the random number, the program should display “Too low, try again.” If the user guesses the number, the application should congratulate the user and then generate a new random number so the game can start over. Optional Enhancement: Enhance the game so it keeps count of the number of guesses that the user makes. When the user correctly guesses the random number, the program should display the number of guesses.arrow_forward
- Population Tracker Learning Objective: Using Python Repetition and Loop Statements Problem Description Write a Python program (Console and GUI) that predicts the approximate size of a population of organisms. The application should use text boxes to allow the user to enter the following information: starting number of organisms, the average daily population increase (as a percentage), and the number of days the organisms will be left to multiply. For example, assume the user enters the following values: Starting number of organisms: 2 Average daily increase: 30% Number of days to multiply: 10 The program should display the following table of dataarrow_forwardTrue or False In C#, you must declare a variable in a program before you can use it to store data.arrow_forwardINFS3410 Practice Questions Chapters 1, 2 and 3 The Following is an example run of an educational program for school children. Because Reza frequently mistypes long ticket numbers, Reza Enterprises has asked his students to write an application that shows if a ticket is invalid. Your application/program tells the ticket agent to enter a six-digit ticket number. Ticket numbers are designed so that if you lose the last digit of the number, then divide by 7, the remainder of the division is exactly the same to the last dropped digit. This process is shown below: Step 1: Enter the ticket number; for example 123454 Step 2: Remove the last digit, leaving 12345 Step 3: Determine the remainder when the ticket number from step 2 is divided by 7. In this case, 12345 divided by 7 leaves a remainder of 4. Step 4: Display a message to the ticket agent indicating whether the ticket number is valid or not. If the ticket number is valid, save the number to a .txt file called “tickets.txt” and continue to loop your program asking…arrow_forward
