Introduction:
Water is absolutely necessary to all organisms for their survival because of this condition, scientists spend a lot of time searching for water on other planets. If water is not there, then no life exists on earth. Even terrestrial organisms need water for their survival. Water is a molecule that consists of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. Water molecules form polar covalent bonds and it acts as a vital solvent. Based on the affinity of water, chemical substances are divided into two types: hydrophilic (substances dissolve in water) and hydrophobic (substances do not dissolve in water).
