Lyme disease is a slow acting disease that may turn into a progressive syndrome that mimics rheumatoid and neuromuscular conditions. The rash is the early symptom which appears in 70 % of cases at the site of the tick bite. The lesion looks like a bull’s eye called erythema migrans with a reddish ring that spreads outward forming a pale central region.
