Introduction:
The blood moves from the right ventricle in the heart to the pulmonary trunk. It then moves ahead from the left and right pulmonary arteries to the pulmonary arterioles and then to the alveolar capillary network in the lungs for the exchange of the gases like oxygen and carbon dioxide. The blood circulates in the pulmonary venules to the pulmonary veins and then back to the left atrium of the heart.
