The human migration in hotspots leads to habitat destruction.

Another example is the forests of the Atlantic coast of Brazil, where the increasing rate of deforestation has led to the loss of 95% of the original forest. The hotspots where the population density is low today are Choco, tropical Andes, Madagascar, and Indian Ocean Islands. The hotspot with a high population growth rate is Brazilian Cerrado.
