To review:
How DNA is helpful in ensuring greater justice in our society.
Introduction:
Each person's DNA has portions that are unique to him/her.
Explanation of Solution
DNA is present in every cell of the body and each person's DNA is unique. It can be found in what is left behind by a criminal at a crime scene – for example, blood, dead skin cells and saliva. The DNA can be extracted from these. The DNA from a suspect in the crime can be tested to see if it matches the DNA found at the crime scene. This can help identify criminals with greater accuracy, and prevent the wrongful imprisonment of innocent suspects.
