Create a class SubstitutionCipher that implements the interface MessageEncoder, as described in the previous exercise. The constructor should have one parameter called shift. Define the method encode. So that each letter is shifted by the value in shift. For example, if shift is 3, a will be replaced by d, b will be replaced by e, c will be replaced by f, and so on (Hint. You may wish to define a private method that shifts a single character.)

- Write a class Point for 2D Cartesian co-ordinates. The class should have 2 fields: abscissa(x) and ordinately). The class should have a method which takes a Point object as parameter and finds the distance between the two points (calling object & argument). The class should also have a static method that takes 2 point objects and returns their midpoint as a new Point object. (No driver class or no other methods required) The distance (d) between 2 points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) is given by: d = (x1 – x2)2 + (y1 – y2)² The midpoint (x3, y3) between 2 points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) is given by: x3 = (x1+x2)/2 y3 = (y1+y2)/2arrow_forwardWrite a method toString() for the Cow class which displays information about a Cow object. The method should consider the following: • If the Cow's stomach value is 100, the output should say that the Cow is full • If the Cow's stomach value is below 100 but above 50, no information about the Cow's stomach should be given • If the Cow's stomach value is below 50 but above 10, the output should mention that the cow is hungry • If the Cow's stomach value is below 10, the output should mention that the cow is starving. Example output: First Cow is full. Second Cow Third Cow is hungry. Fourth Cow is starving!arrow_forwardDefine the Circle2DYourLastName class that contains: Two double data fields names x and y that specify the center of the circle withgetter methods. A double data field radius with getter method. A constructor that creates a circle with specified x, y, and radius. A method findTypeOfIntersection to determine and return types ofintersection as string (contained, overlap, or separate).Design a user class that prompts the user to enter the coordinates of the center andradius of two circles and displays the type of intersection. Allow the user to repeat yourprogram using a ConfirmDialog Box.arrow_forward
- Must be written in Python. Please include docstring and show how output should look like. Remember that all data members should be private. An object can access it's own private data members directly. It can also access the private data members of other objects of the same class directly. But when accessing a private data member of an object of another class, it needs to call the appropriate get method. If that sounds complicated, just remember this: if a method is in the same class as a private data member, then it can access that data member directly, otherwise, it needs to use a get method. Write a class named Point that has two data members, x_coord and y_coord, representing the two coordinates of the point. It should have: an init method that takes two arguments, an x-coordinate and y-coordinate (in that order), and uses them to initialize the two data members. get methods for the two data members: get_x_coord and get_y_coord. a method named distance_to that takes a Point object…arrow_forwardThis is for pygame Text Class The Text class inherits from Drawable and it will be used to display the player's score. You must implement at the very least the required methods of the base class (draw and get_rect), as well as a constructor. You may need to implement other methods as part of the public interface. This is the Drawable Class import pygame import abc import random class Drawable(metaclass - abc. Add to your Animal class: Member: name Methods: Public Animal (String name) //constructor public void makes Sound () with the implementation printing out a generic animal sound. Next, override (add) the makes Sound() method to your Cat and Dog class, with the implementation specific to each animal (i.e, cat says purr..). Do not override the makesSound() for your Dragon (bearded dragons don't make sounds!) Note, you'll also need a constructor in each of your subclasses which calls super(name) to initialize the common 'name' member of Animal. Next (in your test harness) create a List of different Animals ( a couple cats, a dog, a dragon... ) and add these Animals to your list. Iterate through your list & call makeSound on each. (you should observe the makeSound method called will be: cat -> from Cat class, dog-> from Dog class, bearded Dragon -> from Animal class ) EC:…arrow_forward
- You are going to be working with class Rational which defines rational number objects. A rational number is a number that can be written as a fraction. A rational number consists of a numerator and a denominator (which cannot be 0). Rational numbers also have the ability to be displayed in an original form, decimal form or reduced form. You are going to be completing various object methods to perform the tasks previously list. You are to begin with the Rational Class and RationalTest classes provided. Make all modifications outlined in the point values below. Pay close attention to the names of the attributes, methods and return values. You are given starter files and the test files necessary. Only modify class Rational and keep the function headers provided to you for all of Part 1. You will need to add your own methods for Part 2. Part 1a This version requires that you complete the constructor, getOriginal(), and getDecimal() methods of class Rational. Constructor: at this stage…arrow_forwardin computer programming: java Create a rectangle class that can compute the area and the sum of its sides. Create a specialized method that will allow the class to compare other rectangle objects. The comparison should identify the larger rectangle according to the object’s area. You should be able to implement the class where the user provides rectangle dimensions. The program should be able to display which of the rectangle inputs is larger using the Rectangle class method that you defined. Sample output: Enter Length R1: 1 Enter Width R1: 1 Enter Length R2: 2 Enter Width R2: 2 Results: R1 Area: 1 R1 Sum: 2 R2 Area: 4 R2 Sum: 4 R2 is the bigger Rectangle! Provide a constructor that initializes the three instance variables and assumes that the values provided are correct. Provide a set and a get method for each instance variable. Provide a method displayDate that displays the month, day and year separated by forward slashes (/). Add a main method to the class that demonstrates class Date's capabilities.arrow_forward
- Create a class MyTime which has the datamembers as follows: 1. hour: integer (1 to 12)2. minute: integer (0 to 59)3. second: integer (0 to 59)4. pm: bool variable. True means PM time and false means AM time. Implement a default constructor, a parameterized constructor and a copy constructor. Write set and get functions for all the four members of the class. Overload these operators: 1. Extraction operator >> : Prompt the user for hours, minutes, seconds and for am/pm and initialize the structure. Left operand istream object and right operand MyTime2. Assignment = : Assign the right object to the left object. Both operands are of type MyTime.3. Insertion << : Print the time in the format HH:MM SS PM. Left operand of type ostream and right operand of type MyTime. this in c++.arrow_forwardCan you implement an interface in your class? A solution is placed in the "solution" section to help you, but we would suggest you try to solve it on your own first. Problem Statement# You are given an interface Addition which contains a method signature int add(int num1, int num2). You need to write a class called Calculator which implements the Addition interface. The add(int, int) method takes two integers and returns their sum. Input# Calls the add(int, int) method by passing num1 and num2. Output# Returns the addition of num1 and num2.arrow_forwardNot all dogs like to bark, but some like to make a lot of noise! In this exercise we have a Dog superclass and a LoudDog subclass. You do not need to modify the Dog class. Your task is to write two override methods in the LoudDog class. You will override the speak method to return BARK!. You will then override the toString so that it returns Clover is loud and likes to BARK! where Clover is replaced by the name variable. Create and print at least one Dog and one LoudDog to test. public class DogTester{public static void main(String[] args){// Start here}} public class Dog{private String name;public Dog(String name){this.name = name;}public String getName(){return name;}public String speak(){return "Bark!";}public String toString(){return name + " likes to " + speak();}} public class LoudDog extends Dog{public LoudDog(String name){super(name);}// Override the speak method here//Override the toString here.//Remember, you can access the name using super.getName()}arrow_forward
