A sender is the one who is delivering a message, and the receiver is the one who the sender is delivering their message to. The sender, in this instance would be me, the concerned individual that wants to bring an awareness of the need for a procedure to be put in place in order to deal with the concussions that will take place due to the contact nature of football. The receiver will be the players, their families, and the coaches. Both the receivers and I are all affected by the aforementioned concussions, and therefore should all be concerned about the possibility of concussions and how to prevent and treat future concussions. Since I am neither a player, coach, nor a family member, I will have to appeal to my receivers both emotionally and logically. I am trying to bring a message of change to the football world, so my presentation will need to be a persuasive one. The message is the most important part of the meeting, and the entire reason for the gathering. Since my audience is varied, the message will have to be delivered in a way that is clear to all who will be attending my presentation. The presentation is optional, so I will want my message to be an appropriate time length, and I will definitely need to keep it on point. All of these aspects of my message will determine the outcome of my presentation, of which I am hoping it to be impactful.
