Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet, two star-crossed lovers, will do anything to show their deep affection for each other. Since they are from two different families, who happen to be enemies, they can be punished for expressing their love for one another. Unfortunately, their passion sparks many outrages. Do children really disobey and lie as it simply is what majority of children do, to help the better of them or even to make the situation worse than it already is? In the play by Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet, they went through similar circumstances in their lives, as they try and hide their love from their parents and live happy relaxing lives since couldn't resist not being with each other, lying and disobeying them more and more. They also went through so much simply to be with each other, as teens do indeed do that as they fall so far in love with someone they would give anything up simply to be with that one person for the rest of their life. Some may say that there are differences in the teachings in Romeo and Juliet that are different now, for example our society is much more different and more advanced, and the way we speak is much different than how they did back four hundred years ago, along with other teachings from Romeo and Juliet that don't apply to present day teachings. The teachings of the play Romeo and Juliet still merit today for numerous reasons, like how students still lie to their parents, and disobey them for their true love to be successful and live with them, Romeo and Juliet also act similarly to teens now as majority act too quickly to really think about what they’re really doing, and love can be so strong it impacts everything that occurs in their life.

In the play, Romeo and Juliet, there are several significant details that help the reader find out who lead Romeo and Juliet to their deaths. First, the character Friar Laurens thinks that a marriage between Romeo and Juliet will bring peace between both families. Another important detail is Friar Laurens gives Juliet a potion to help her fake her death. The third detail important to the play is he did not tell Romeo about the plan. Another important detail is that they were doomed from the start because they were both part of the feuding families. Also, significant is Friar Laurens came up with the plan to help Juliet get out of the marriage with Paris. All of these details are significant because it leads to the death of Romeo and Juliet.

The first person who i personally think is responsible for their death is friar John. In the story Friar John job is to get the message to Romeo that Juliet is not dead, but has only taken a sleeping potion to get out of the marriage her father set up for her. Friar John is held up because many people in his town believed he had the bubonic plague which held him up. As he is help up Romeo does not get the message that was intended for him and believes that Juliet is actually dead. Which ultimately leads to both of their deaths. Friar John could have easily avoided getting help up for too long if he had easily snuck out of his house and deliver the message to Romeo. The characters that were at fault for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet were Friar Laurence and Tybalt. Those two characters were the cause for the deaths of these star-crossed lovers. Friar Laurence helped them get married even though they were still kids. Then Friar Laurence knew that neither of the families would have accepted the marriage yet he went and married them. Also, Friar Laurence gave Juliet poison just because she didn’t want to marry Sir Paris when she was already married to Romeo and when Sir Capulet threatened to disown her if she didn’t marry Sir Paris. Friar Laurence had a lot to do with the tragic deaths of these star-crossed lovers known as Romeo and Juliet. Tybalt then wanted to kill Romeo because he’s from the rivaling family and he despised him.

Last, he sent the letter to Romeo to late. If he wouldn’t have waited to send the letter to Romeo none of this would have happened. Romeo would have gotten the letter from Friar John, understood the situation, and have been there when Juliet woke up. But, he waited too long and that jeopardized the whole plan.

They did not think through all the possible outcomes before carrying out the plan. Romeo didn't get the letter on time so he didn't know the plan. Since Romeo didn't know the plan everything fell apart. When Romeo saw Juliet’s body, he acted irrationally and killed himself.
