Measuring Our Success with Social Media Outreach While the use of social media has been an important new tool in our overall outreach and advocacy arsenal, we have also been aware of the importance of qualitatively and quantitatively measuring the performance of our social media outreach efforts. The quantitative evaluation is typically done by using the Twitter Analytics tool, while our qualitative measures of success are done by gaging the influential Twitter users that are actively engaging with content posted from our efforts. Both tools have been useful in allowing us to get a lot out of Twitter, comb through the network as a way to find out what relevant political news is happening in our target states, and to see if any of our bills/public policy positions are being mentioned within a state’s political “Twitter-verse”. Level of influence can inspire followers to take some kind of action such as engaging with your message or making a purchase. Measurables such as tracking social media traffic to a company’s website or even time spent on a specific page, viewing of various products and other such actions can also provide valuable data. We will evaluate the effectiveness of these goals and objectives in a timely fashion, by measuring and evaluating results. We will keep track of all the materials used and the number distributed to reach the target publics. Overall, these tactics aim to target specific publics, such as students, parents, schools officials, DCPS policymakers, educators, and non-minorities students and parents. Even though students will primarily be targeted via the social media campaign, all publics have the potential to be reached by means of Twitter and Facebook. Social media is a great tactic because it will allow us to reach a wider audience and have this topic ‘trending’ from the campaign’s initiation to its end.

For my social media audit, I have decided to do it on the company AMC Theaters since it is one of my favorite places to go to.

They are there to give some context to the massive amounts of data that you’re collecting. In short, they tell you if your marketing works or not. After all, at the end of the day, what’s the point of all of this if it isn’t helping your company? The tricky thing is, there are hundreds of different metrics so now you have to ask yourself which ones are best for you. Below we’ll highlight some of the most useful social media metrics, how they work and why they’re so effective. The project aim at teenagers, therefore sample group is between 13 to 19. I will set the sample sizes in 50 participants since it is easy to identity and more precision. If a sample sizes increase, it is very hard to estimate and become not accurate. Also, I’m worry about the extremes data can’t make a balance out, so the project prefers small sample sizes. It can take less effort to gain and maintain people, it is easy to produce significant results and comfortable to find a group of people. I will obtain samples from friends or friends’ sister and brother.
