I have always drawn inspiration from the famous quote "Vision without action is
merely a dream. Action without vision just passes the time. Vision with action can change
the world! ". Since childhood, I have read how entrepreneurs such as Bill Gates and Steve
Jobs have used technology to change the world. These examples inspired me to take up
Civil Engineering at the undergraduate level, so I could also use technology to fulfill my
dreams of entrepreneurship. During the course of my undergraduate studies, I got the
opportunity to explore different avenues and I came to realize that my interest lay in
pursuing Engineering Management. This realization and the possibility of fulfilling my
childhood dream compelled me to apply for

I also enjoyed the lab assignments since
they gave me the chance to put theoretical concepts into actual practice. Thus, I came to
realize that doing practical work was a great way of improving my command of a subject
As a result, I picked up a project titled, “Green Building”. It was a 6-member
project. Green building refers to a structure that is environmentally responsible and
resource efficient throughout a building’s life cycle: from siting to design, construction,
operation, maintenance, renovation and demolition. This was a unique project which
allowed me to explore the subject and gain a lot of knowledge about it that I didn’t have
prior to beginning this project. Apart from these technical topics, I also enjoyed studying
management-related subjects as a part of the curriculum. I was introduced to theories of
Managerial Economics, Accountancy, Total Quality Management, Convergence of
Technology and Information Integrity. These subjects acquainted me to the world of
management and intrigued me a lot, further consolidating my desire to take up studies at
the master’s level. Studying these subjects also served to interest me in taking up

The author starts the article by telling about her experience when she saw all the amazing energy efficient gadgets, applications, etc. at DPR Construction in San Francisco. This lead to hear thinking about how other energy efficient building held up after accountants moved in. In most cases, the spaced did not perform as expected or the platinum score was lowered. Information is gathered from occupants and organizations have not come up with an accurate way to use this information. Some even argue that LEED is a plaque and that its buildings are usually on par with non-LEED buildings when comparing them to be sustainable. LEED and other organizations are trying to receive data and occupants’ experiences in order to improve a buildings performance.
From childhood, I have been passionate about mathematics and problem solving. Given the quantitative focus of engineering, I pursued my undergraduate studies in civil engineering. During my years in college, I used my elective courses to explore subjects from different disciplines. Of these, I developed a deep interest in finance, particularly the financial markets and trading. To know more in finance, I later enrolled in CFA level 1, participated in virtual stock market competitions, did an internship in equity research and started trading with some personal funds.
In this letter of intent, I am going to focus on the purpose of studying Industrial Engineering further at the post-graduate level. I have chosen University name because I feel it will best prepare me to fulfill my future career objectives. I jot down my Statement of Purpose with due respect to the Department and the University.
2. Use of local materials: Sustainable the use of local materials is one of the most important principles of the Green Architecture School. It aims for durable buildings as well as a long life span. In addition to that, it tends to reduce the carbon foot print, making the building
During my third year in Wipro Technologies, I made a decision of pursuing Masters of Science to become more equipped in the technical field that I am already working in and then pursue MBA to become a Management Consultant. I adhered to my plan and completed my Master’s degree in Information Systems at University of
In our world, today we make more and more discoveries every day and with that new knowledge comes innovation. Since the engineering building was first built in the late 1890’s, there have been many advances in becoming a more environmentally friendly building. It is time to transform this historical building into what will be one of the greenest buildings on any campus in the world.
