Question
Chapter 20, Problem 5WWTS
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
In order to keep the blood flowing in an artery, the heart must pulsate the pressure. This can be measured by using a sphygmomanometer. This is referred to as blood pressure. The high blood pressure can lead to hypertension and low blood pressure can lead to hypotension. The resistance and pressure affecting the movement of blood or blood flow is called as peripheral resistance. Resistance can be seen in the blood viscosity, vessel, and vessel length.
