Retail Price Calculator
Write a
- If an item’s wholesale cost is 5.00 and its markup percentage is 100 percent, then the item’s retail price is 10.00.
- If an item’s wholesale cost is 5.00 and its markup percentage is 50 percent, then the item’s retail price is 7.50.
The program should have a method named calculateRetail that receives the wholesale cost and the markup percentage as arguments, and returns the retail price of the item.

- Time CalculatorWrite a program that asks the user to enter a number of seconds.-There are 60 seconds in a minute. If the number of seconds entered by the user is greater than or equal to 60, the program should display the number of minutes and leftover seconds in that many seconds.-There are 3,600 seconds in an hour. If the number of seconds entered by the user is greater than or equal to 3,600, the program should display the number of hours, minutes, and leftover seconds in that many seconds.-There are 86,400 seconds in a day. If the number of seconds entered by the user is greater than or equal to 86,400, the program should display the number of days, hours, minutes, and leftover seconds in that many seconds.arrow_forwardPrompt Problem: A company wants a program that will calculate the weekly paycheck for an employee based on how many hours they worked. For this company, an employee earns $20 an hour for the first 40 hours that they work. The employee earns overtime, $30 an hour, for each hour they work above 40 hours. Example: If an employee works 60 hours in a week, they would earn $20/hr for the first 40 hours. Then they would earn $30/hr for the 20 hours they worked overtime. Therefore, they earned: ($20/hr 40hrs)+($30/hr 20 hrs) $800+ $600 = $1400 total. For this assignment, you must create pseudocode and a flowchart to design a program that will calculate an employee's weekly paycheck. - Write pseudocode to design a programming solution by outlining a series of steps and using appropriate indentation and keywords. As you write your pseudocode, be sure to consider the following: What input does the computer need? What steps does the program need to follow to process the input? What output should…arrow_forwardMicrowaves / Radio Waves If a scientist knows the wavelength of an electromagnetic wave she can determine what type of radiation it is. - XYZ Company, LLC uses a program to manage the information of their employees. The program gets the name of the employee, number of hours worked and rate per hour. It computes the salary by multiplying the number of hours worked with rate per hour. If the salary is more than 1000, tax is computed as 5% of the salary, otherwise, tax is computed as 2% of the salary. The program will display the name of the employee, salary and tax.arrow_forwardNumber Guessing Game. The program will generate a random number from 1 to 1000. The player will be given several chances to guess the number. The program gives a hint that the given number is lower or higher. If the player's guess is correct, give the player a single point. Tally the number of correct and wrong guesses that the player has made. After every round, display the tally (correct, wrong, and score) After a cycle the program will ask the user if he wants to continue playing. This is a console project.
