Question
Chapter 54, Problem 13TYK
Summary Introduction
To review:
The information needed to refute or confirm the hypothesis that increase in atmospheric temperature is a part of a historical trend and is not due to the release of greenhouse gases. Describe the pros and cons of reducing greenhouse gases as soon as possible versus taking the “wait and see” approach.
Introduction:
Greenhouse gases are the gases present in the earth’s atmosphere that trap the infrared radiations emitted from the earth’s surface. Carbon dioxide, methane, oxides of nitrogen, ozone, and water vapor are examples of greenhouse gases.

Which of the following is NOT true about climate change?
a. Today’s climatic warming particularly the warming since the mid-20th century is occurring much faster than ever before and cannot be explained by natural causes alone.
b. Humans more specifically, the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions we generate are the leading cause of the earth’s rapidly changing climate.
c. The burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas for electricity, heat, and transportation is the primary source of natural cause of climate change.
d. Activities like agriculture and road construction can change the reflectivity of the earth’s surface, leading to local warming or cooling, too.
Discussions about the likelihood of life on other planets often focus on 7 points their proximity to a sun-like star. How different might life on Earth be if the planet's distance from the sun were considerably greater? How will this affect the biogeochemical cycle and the energy flow in the ecosystem? Expound and Justify. For 3-5 sentences only
