Class lecture and reading textbook help me to understand that the way I will open session and closing session will mater in group member’s participations. According to the text book and class lecture best open way of group will help members gain focus. In the past couple of weeks I participate and observed from outside group in class co-facilitation group therapy. From this experience, I observe the need for important tasks to ensure a great experience from everyone, how opening session is important to pursuit. For example, if I am served a delicious meal on unclean plate even though I am hungry and I badly want a food, unclean plates will cause me to lose my appetite. We are currently learning about emotion and how universal it is. As a class, we just talked about Paul Ekman and his colleagues and the study that I just read about. We learned that emotion isn’t something that we learn. We learned that we are all born with it, no matter what culture and background we have. This study and what I learned in my class just tied everything together about emotion and facial expressions. All the questions that I had about the study were answered in the book and all the questions that I had about the book were answered in this study. Since learning about emotion and how it relates to people, I can now use what I learned from this study and my class and put it in my everyday life with the people around
The future is based on the decisions that managers make in the present, based off of the data from the past. Managers need to not only be able to analyze large patterns in data, but also be able to understand the underlying data that comprises these patterns. One of the areas that this skill is needed most is the analysis of costs and expenses. While trends show the overall picture, it’s vital to comprehend the trends and data that are joined to form the picture. Without this, managers would be ineffective and most plans for the future would be deeply flawed. Careful analysis of each component of the whole reveals more in depth information, and a higher quality of understanding.
The trainers of the group will conduct 2 hour session. The training will not be a one sided lecture. The group norms played in the group were who ever spoke we listened. Taking notes if you have to. Every individual in the group has there name card in front of them and the back of it was their assigned role. We raised our hands when we vote about a descision on the issue.
