Different types of child abuse
Child abuse is a very big problem in the community there are a lot of different types of child abuse like the obvious ones like sexual and physical abuse to the not so obvious ones but just as bad for children like emotional abuse and neglect. In this essay we will discuss the different types of abuse how to recognize it and ways to prevent abuse.
Emotional abuse is a very degrading abuse to children. Emotional abuse is usually caused by parents who are trying to fulfill their needs and not the children’s needs. Most parents who do this normally resort to shouting and degrading the child and in some circumstances the parents even resort to blackmailing their children.
Characteristics of these parents are that parenting is not rewarding and have negative feeling towards parenting. Some of the signs of this abuse is if the children are anti-social, they struggle in school, they looked distressed, and have mysterious pains. In adulthood the children will struggle with personal relationships and will also have mental health

In this writing project I learned to write a story with a purpose and show my readers a learning movement. By using different kinds of writing tools I could give my readers a more complex story. I learned how to write by showing and using details (the senses) to really give my readers a deeper understanding and emotions. I also learned in how you prepare for writing an essay. The importance of building your idea (pre-write), write, revision, and finally editing the paper.

Children may be emotionally scarred when the y are labeled as stupid, ugly, crazy, or unwanted. Emotional abuse includes acts of omission by the child’s primary caregivers that could cause behavioral, emotional, or mental disorders. In some cases of emotional abuse the child’s caregiver may use excessive and bizarre forms of punishment like torture, or locking a child in a dark closet. These things emphasize the need for the intervention of The Child Protective Services.
Being organized plays a big role in note taking. I thought I was a good note taker until I read a few ways to take notes. At first, I would just write everything down and out of order. The encoding hypothesis says that writing helps to encode the information better. The external-storage hypothesis suggests that by writing down the information is helpful because you can review it later, therefore increasing retention. Even though, there has been a mix of results in these hypotheses it is certain to say that the use of these two hypotheses together can help improve the academic performance. Other research suggests that note taking can be generative (in our own words) and non-generative (word for word). Verbatim note taking tends to lower our cognitive process. The deeper the information is processed and encoded the better the comprehension and retention of the information and better it is for encoding. The research has shown that people who take verbatim notes show a lower academic performance than those who use non-verbatim notes.
The Cornell note taking system, developed by former Cornell University professor Walter Pauk in 1949, features three areas. It features a three-part system used for condensing and organizing notes, whether in the classroom or out in the field. One area is for note taking, the second is for review notes, and the last one is for summarizing. Cornell notes was invented to benefit students in the classroom and help them formulate a way in which they can understand the lessons being lectured while at the same time being well organised.
Joan Didion, author of “On Keeping a Notebook”, writes about the purpose of keeping a notebook. Didion suggests that writing your thoughts in a notebook allows people to remember the past and live in the present; while being able to take time for yourself. She mentions the constant use of keeping her notebook by her side as a way to allow to express herself freely. As she says, “But our notebooks give us away, for however dutifully we record what we see around us, the common denominator of all we see is always, transparently, shamelessly, the implacable "I"(Didion). What she means is that a note writing tells a lot about a person.

Many students in today’s society prefer to use laptops for note-taking rather than writing it down the old fashioned way. Laptops may sound easier to type your notes faster, but it can become a distraction towards learning. Students who use laptops take verbatim notes, meaning they copy notes without giving it too much thought. Students who take longhand notes process the material better than those who type their notes because they must be selective towards what they write. Longhand notes are called generative note-taking. Generative note-taking is summarizing, paraphrasing, and concept mapping a text. Students who use laptops take nongenerative notes, which involves verbatim notes. There are two hypotheses towards why note-taking is beneficial
Before I write anything in the discussion forums or an assignment, I generally complete all of my readings and notes. For my notes I use mostly the Cornell Method of note taking, and all of my notes for each week are contained within individual weekly documents files, explicitly dated and titled. When taking notes I generally read a paragraph or two and then try to shorten down the key points. Most typical notes are taken on a computer, however, like in the case

It has been proven that the physical act of writing forces your
