I sit up on my cot. It doesn’t feel right without Tobias next to me. I am not sure where Caleb and Cara are. Probably in the lab, working on that new serum. Uriah walked into the dormitory looking stuffed from breakfast. He sees me and gives me a strange look. “What? You can’t still be mad about Marlene,” I say. “It’s not Marlene. I’m worried,” he replies “About what? Tobias is going to be fine. He always is,” I say quietly. “It’s not that...It’s just that, I feel like we are doing the wrong thing. It feels weird, but it’s for Tobias. Caleb looks up and says, “It’s going to be fine. From what I know about Tobias, he’s fine. If anything, Marcus is probably the one who got hurt.” I try and force a smile. I know he’s right.Tobias is the strongest and bravest person I’ve ever met. I remember the first time I saw him. All I manage to do is nod. “So what happened to Marcus?” I look him straight in the eye. At first, he doesn’t respond. Then he says, “He’s, he’s in pretty bad condition though. I punched him in his jaw and it cracked.” He looks at me slowly. “Well that’s probably what I would have done too,” I say with a small smile. He looks relieved.
